First, lets discuss this week's featured video on how to properly perform the WG BB Bent Over Row. This is an outstanding movement because it involves the entire back musculature (and more), with the greatest focus being on the mid-traps, rhomboids, rear delts and of course the lats. However, because it is a "pulling" exercise it also stimulates the biceps, brachialis and forearms. Additionally, the bent over position forces the lower back, quads and hamstrings to activate/tighten in order to properly stabilize the torso. Now that is what I call an all-around awesome exercise! But as always, in order for any movement to be maximally effective, especially compound movements such as the WG BB Bent Over Row, range of motion, technique, body position, and rep speed must all be on point. Watch the video carefully and see just how this exercise should be done for max-back-building! Next, a quick note to all of you that are subscribed to the B Built Body Transformation program. This week is once again "POWER" training, but I threw you a few "curve balls." As you will see, the rep tempo changes quite a bit with each exercise rather than remaining static with the mostly standard 4/0/X protocol. This will allow you to experience using heavy weights in unique ways, each tempo forcing your muscles and nervous system to deal with and adapt to unique types of stimuli.
